Of Such is the Kingdom of Heaven

According to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 85% of all Christians come to know the Lord before the age of 15! They say that children are the largest people group in the whole world. We know that children are very precious in the sight of the Lord, and Jesus said that "except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18: 3.

One day Rebekah came to me and said she would like to have a Bible club, and shortly after that the Lord brought a German missionary family, Rudy and Sara Thomas, into our lives. We both have young girls, and we both had a desire to start some sort of ministry for children. As a result, we brainstormed together and the Bible club "Amigos" was created. Every Thursday evening we meet for Bible stories, illustrated by the Betty Luken's flannel graph curriculum, singing, Bible memorization, puppets, games and puzzles, and a small snack. The children receive points for attendance, Bible memorization, and for inviting a friend, and can redeem their points for a chance to visit the Treasure Chest.

Please pray the Lord will bring children from the neighborhood--it is not always easy to compete with soccer practice, dance lessons, music lessons, and the myriad of activities that children are engaged in these days, but hopefully we can reach some for the Lord.
